The Giving Field provides general educational writing and simple planning tools. Reading an article, using a worksheet or sending a note does not create an adviser-client relationship. We do not offer personalized legal, tax, investment or estate advice, receive charitable gifts or administer donor programs.

Use the material thoughtfully

Check current primary sources and consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting on a legal or financial matter. Hypothetical examples illustrate a question; they are not recommendations for your circumstances. The worksheet adds and multiplies the values you enter. It does not assess affordability, taxes, investment returns or legal validity.

Links and resources

External sites control their own products, prices, availability, privacy terms and services. A link is not a guarantee of their conduct or suitability. Commercial relationships are described on our disclosures page. You are responsible for checking a recipient and any terms before making a purchase or gift.

Original writing and visual design may be linked and briefly quoted with attribution. Republishing complete articles or selling copies requires permission.
